code reading? Help
I have an 86 xj with the 2.8l v6. The check engine light just came on after changing the fuel filter. The filter was clogged with a ton of chunky rust. The vehicle had been sitting for 4 years. Now the check engine light is on how do I find out why? Not used to vehicle with "brains". I am used to an old 79 Chevy with a 350. No smarts there. Is there a reader or something I plug in to cross reference? Or do I do the ignition on/off thing? I think maybe an o2 sensor? Frustrating.
