Question Clutch transplant, hell... Jeep transplant.

so some of you know about my 85 jeep cherokee (Laredo), and its cluster o problems....
and that it has 453k miles....
i found a 85 cherokee (pioneer) for sale and i wanna swap the Rough country lift onto the Pioneer
Is that compatible?

the reason they are selling it is because they say the clutch isnt engaging and it wont go into gear the motor runs fine
is my 2.5 liter clutch system interchangeable to the Pioneer?

and its hydraulic... so could it be the fluid??

mine: 2.5 4 bangerliter pos

Pioneer:gm 2.6L 6cylinder (it says V6? not inline?)

mine has got alot of electrical problems,miles,rattles,gremlins...

so can i swap my 85 jeep cherokee 2.5(4cyl) liter Laredo's:

-clutch(or master and slave cylinders)

-seats

-5 lug 32 inchers

-transfer case

-tranny

-roofrack

nto an 1985 jeep cherokee 2.liter (GM?) (6cyl) Pioneer?
any ideas my jeep is fallin apart and they are seling it cheap so im wondering if i can change into a different Jeep platform

cant answer on the clutch, but they do have the same bellhousing pattern.
everything else should be swapable, except maybe driveshafts if you keep the stock trans/t-case

That GM V6 is a well known POS. Your probably better swapping your 4cyl in as you cant easily swap a straight 6 in where there was a V6 due to clearance issues.

or just swap in a 3.4 short block from a newer camaro which is what i plan to do when the 2.8 lets loose in the one i'm getting...

BUT, people can talk as much crap about the 2.8's as they want but i have seen SEVERAL 2.8's in s10's and FWD GM cars go 300000 miles with little more than oilchanges and tuneups....

i plan to take care of mine and dont foresee it letting loose, but like i said IF it does, i'll put a 2.8 in it

normally i wouuld agree but this engine is pretty well shot too, god forbid its the original motor even if its the second its still got a pile of miles,,, i might just swap the clutch system and scrap the old beast, or part it out, or keep the essentials for 'trail spares'
idk tho i cant find whats compatible

starter is completely different. alternator MIGHT swap. obviously some bolts will be swappable
