my clutch went the other day and im trying to narrow down to exactly what it is, slave, master or clutch itself or somthing else..
it started when i would put it into reverse would grind and i would just ignore it and it would go into reverse.. then one day when at a light and shifted out of 3rd and tried to put it into 1st it wouldnt enage.. so i fooled around with it and finally got it to engage.. the problem got worse and wouldnt engage or disengage.. it doesnt go into any gear and sometimes will engage if i push with all my might but i dont do that in fear of messing something up more than it already iss.... but if the jeeps off, i can put it in any gear.. but when i try to start it it hops foward then starts.. my question is what exactly is it.. i think its the clutch but i dont want to go through all the hassel if its not.. what opinions does anyone have and has this happenend to anyone else and what did the problem end up being? please help im anxious to get out wheeling again thanks

 

have you checked fluid level,lesser of two evils is gonna be bad master .

 

yea checked the fluid.. ill guess ill just start with the master then and see where it takes me. probably all shud be replaced anyway seeing how its most likley original so ill let you know how i make out.. but if anone else has a better theory please let me know
