Default Clutch problems

I drove my 91 cherokee about 200 miles yesterday and everything was perfect. Today when I went to drive it I pressed the clutch and it wouldnt disengage. If I held it down I could force it into first and shift when the clutch is all the way to the floor. I checked the fluid and there is plenty. Do you guys think bleeding the system would help. Or is there some kind of adjustment I could do.

Actually air tends to work out, not in. If it hasn't been run dry, it shouldn't have air. And yea, I'd try bleeding it! The last master cyl I bought (for the 84W/ 2.5) was way spendy. Guess if you push down the pedal, and it doesn't disengage, and it isn't leaking past the slave cyl, (and dripping), it's master cylinder time.

Ya It didnt run dry. I think I will try bleeding it just because that the easiest thing then replace the master cylinder.

Yea, you might get lucky, a piece or crud? Might get a little aggressive bleeding it just in case you can flush something through. I've honed bores and put seals in things like that. Mine was some aluminum, or alloy, and the kit I found at the time was near $50 so I spent $140? for that little POS. (pre-internet) If yours is cast iron, you might "dress" it and find some rubber on ebay. Idk. If you are so inclined! I just resent spending over $100, on like a gram of rubber!

(OK Viton, or neoprene or something)
