Ok, I have tried search here and all over the web, and am still struggling, I hope I can get a little help

So I recently purchased a new to me XJ yes I'm pumped! It's a 97 2 door 5spd

On the drive home, the slave cylinder blew, glad I have AAA haha

Got it home, purchased a new slave and master cylinder and replaced them.

THe slave does not have the bleeder line, instead it has a hex screw to bleed it.

The system will NOT bleed.

Yet, the clutch works, I've driven it 30 miles or so and it feels firm.

Any input??

 

checked it out again today, tried to bleed it.

Refused to bleed, but works great and is solid......so going to drive it a week or better and see what happens. Maybe try again
