Default Clutch acting up...

Let me first say that I tried searching the forums for a similar issue but I don't think what I'm dealing with is the normal cut and dry problems we have as jeep owners. If anyone could provide a link that'd be great.

So I've got an 86 Cherokee with the 2.8L and an AX5 trans. The clutch slowly started "going out". I'm not sure how to word it. The clutch works great but that's the problem. It's barely got any pedal. After bleeding, the pedal would get stiff but after a quick drive would lose pedal. You have to pump 3-4 times to shift into gear if it will shift at all. Reverse is not happening. Even after 3-4 bleeds and all air is out, there's still no pedal. Bled it while running and off just to be sure. There are no visible leaks from master or slave cylinders and both seem to work properly since they are cycling fluid (bleeding).

What other components should I consider?

Try an AW4 swap no more clutch problems.

Seals are gone allowing the fluid to bypass when there should be pressure.

So you're saying the seals in one or both of the cylinders is allowing fluid through instead of pushing as it should? How can I determine which cylinder is failing without removing them? Or should I just replace both, bleed, and be done with it?
