is there a way to stiffen the clutch pedal on a 92 xj. mine has a lot of play

How new is your clutch??

There is a spring under the dash, too, pulling the pedal up. That could somehow have become worn.

I just looked at mine, doesn't look like it can be adjusted under the dash. But there is a connection to the arm that pushes the master, that could be loose.

maybe air in the line?

Theres no way to adjust the pedal, i have like 1" of play at the top but it doesnt really bother me plus i like the soft clutch.
