Default Clutch???

So im pretty new to the Cherokee world and have not had this happen before.
My 88' has weird problems. the clutch will not return. bought a new spring. jeep starts but won't shift into gear. fluid seems fine and no signs of a leak. The clutch pedal has pressure but only comes back part way. If I reach down and pull it out it still will not go in or out of gear.

Help please!!!

bleed your clutch, and see if that fixes it. it sounds like you have alot of air in your system along with dirty fluid. so just loosen the bleed line under your jeep and drain all the fluid out by pumping it while the line is open. then close it most of the way and poor new fluid in it. then just keep doing it till the fluid comes out clean. easy day

dont beat yourself up on it, it is fairly easy, just make sure you have at least 2 of those little bottles of dot 3 clutch/brake fluid

I have a 91 2dr 4.0 AX15. What is the trick to getting the bleeder open? Put a 9/16" on the big end and a flare nit wrench on the fitting that screws into the big fitting. Cannot get it too budge. It is a lefty loosy righty tighty connectioon right. This is the last thing to getting this pig on the road. Clutch replaced mid 09 by PO.

Thanks.

i used a bunch of liquid wrench, waited a few days and doused it every day, then used a two lockjaws, just be careful not to collapse the line
