Clunking Noise?!

Clunking Noise?!
So went wheelin sunday locked it into 4x4 and theres a clanking noise when i cut the wheel or soon as i put it in drive or reverse? any ideas? the front shafts seem to be good the front drive shaft spins once i spin each tire in the air.

If you have it in 4lo I believe hard turning is not recommended and if you do it needs to be real slow. My jeep does the same thing but when I put it in 4full i can turn fine without all the clunking. It does sound like your breaking **** when you turn hard in 4lo but i dont know the reason. Maybe there is so much low end torque that turning puts crazy stress on the axle u-joints.

ya i looked today and it looked like some seals were broke off the u joint so im gonna replace it friday, then this summer get some chromolly shafts and then i should be good
