I think I have a clog somewhere in the radiator or hoses on my 01 cherokee. The guy I bought it from used a ton of stop leak, and flushing it didn't work. Someone told me kerosine or carb cleaner wiould clean it out. Never heard of it so I was looking for any information. The guy that told me this tends to half *** his auto work. Anyone ever heard of or done this? Thanks.

 

if he used a ton of stop leak, you're screwed. Replace the radiator and be done with it. Might have to replace the Tstat as well.

 

May as well make an attempt to flush the heater core. If you don't get sufficient flow you may as well save your self some headaches and replace it now.

 

Try my trick it seam to work pretty well fill the radiator with water till it doesnt come out the other side and take an air compressor with the air spray attachment and wrap a rag around it on the side you put water it and get a tight seal and blow the water thru it done right you should get a bunch of black crap come out and repeat several times and same with heater core
