clock spring
I broke one of the tabs that holds the clock spring in place on my 2000 XJ If I put it back in will it work? If it's going to just break I dont want to be bothered with that one.
Thanks.
Thanks.

The tabs are only there to stop it from spinning on the shaft when you turn the steering wheel. 1 tab should hold it. I didn't even know one of my tabs was gone until I took it out to change it to a cruise control clockspring.
