Okay this may be a retarded topic, but I figured no one else has every posted it. I take my Jeep offroading a lot and obviously to defer rust and keep the paint good and all that stuff I have to wash it each time. I dont know about you all, but Ive tried many methods to figure out what works the best.
As far as washing it it seems hte best way to go is the powerwash - first the undercarriage being carefull not to spray too much h2o into your wheel bearings or grease fittings, and then the body. One thing that helps is to slide the powerwasher along your black window seals, this helps get the dirt out b/c the dirt on there is very stubborn so you gotta get the hose really close to it.
But if you just stop there your jeep will be a dingy orange color, so next you use the big soapy brush thing (or soap and a sponge if you wanna save your quarters) and scrub it down reallly good. One place to make sure you touch on at this point is the tires b/c just like the window seals the tires take a little extra effort to get nice and clean.
After all thats its time to spray off all the soap, and it should be pretty much good at that point. Remember when your spraying off the soap and rinsing the Jeep, start at the roof and work your way down, or else you'll get little rivers of h2o coming down after its dried that dirt will flow in and then dry on so you have little streams of dirty on your jeep. Also, make sure you get all the cracks powerwashed free of dirt and also the body moldings, they can trap dirt which will come out at a later time in these little "streams" i desribed.
Next step is tires and rims, these can look extra good if you do them right. 1st off, Eagle One tire cleaner sucks. Their foam sucks and so does the spray on crap, probobly why its always on sale. Get the stuff thats purple, it looks really good when put on your tires and it smells good and will make them shine very bright, also if you got black steelies like me hit up those as well so that you wont get "dirt streams" on those also. Spray your black body moldings too to give them a nice shiny brand new look. One thing to remember is this stuff is stick so if you drive down a dirt road or something it will collect ALL the dust and not look too good.
As for the inside, regular armor all does the trick, its moist enough to get the dirt off adn still leaves your interior shiny and new looking.
Well thats my method, i love my jeep when its dirty but hate it when its like "half dirty", so i like it perfectly clean or covered in mud
Anyway thats just my method.

Yep sounds like a good method. Really haven't got the chance to get my Jeep dirty yet. In high school I had a Nissan PU that I mudded daily, and washed daily. Def. have to keep things clean and greased up though, mud can do some damage. The snow is dirty here though so I usually powerwash it and then Ill run it through a brushless carwash..since my Jeep isn't that tall, I can do that.

Buddy of mine uses cooking spray under his jeep before he goes out, I've never tryed it but he says it cuts down on his clean up time. Expecially with our famous red clay.

not a bad idea, i always wondered if there some cheap way to essentiall "rhino line" the undercarriage. I know im seeings hte effects of mud, lots of piping under the hood by my AC and power stweering is rusting pretty bad, yet still work fine. I know my ebrake cable tensioner bolt thing siezed and my ebrake doesnt work and i cant adjust it unfortunatly
