I have lights stuck on in my dash no matter what position my shifter is in. Is there a way to take apart this switch? or can I soak it in rust bust or something? anyone done this before.

The culprit IS the 4WD indicator light switch.
Located on TC (of course)
I have not had any luck in cleaning them. Some work, some only for a time or two.
Best to get another switch.
RockAuto.com has the best price I have found so far.

Im trying to figure out if its worth the trouble to pull the thing and buy another switch. I figure I can tell if its in gear? I will see if it will even come out first. Thanks for the rock auto site, seems like I will buy from there for now on.

Should be a 7/8" hex, at least thats what the 231 case uses.
If you lay an your back fully under the driver's side floor with your feet towards the rear of your XJ, it is the easiest way to get at it.
If you have a lift AND a TC drop...you are golden (4 minutes tops)
If NOT then count on about 10 minutes and a few well chosen expletives.
Had BOTH (91 and 94) out at least once and the 94 has a lift and TC drop the 91 doesnt have either.
So the time-frame is from personal experience (including the expletives).
