Claytons or Rubicon Express?
I have narrowed it down 2 both of these companys 4.5" short arm kits. My rig is a 98 xj. Im looking for ultimate ride quality and ultimate flex. Regardless of the kit I will be running rubicon twin tube 4.5-5.5" shocks. I like that rubicons comes with drop shackes. And I also like the fact that claytons comes with adjustable lowers and johnny joints.
Please decide and hit me back

Why not just spend the extra $400 and get the clayton long arm 4.5" kit?
Also the RE6130 does not come with drop brackets for the CA's. You have to jump to their 5.5' kit to get that.

Claytons. His joints are beefier than RE's on the control arms and trackbar.
You could always substitute any item in their kits for upgraded components. IE.. adjustable arms with RE.

Question claytons leaf packs have like 10 leafs as to where RE pack comes with six. Which one will ride better. And with claytons setup U dont get drop shackles u use the factroy shackles. will this limit flex?

it just depends on the thickness of the leafs used a pack with more softer leafs will give a smother ride but will not have the weight handling that a pack with fewer thicker one will to a point. but i am sure some one will have a better answer coming along soon

RE works for me
I have the 4.5" super flex short arm kit from RE. It flexes really well, a little harsh in the front, but tracks down the road really well. If you get the full leaf in the back you do get the 5" shakle. The AAL is a lift block and no shakle and is very harsh with much less flex. Went that way to save some $$ and it cost me much more to correct the mistake.

i just swapped my R.E 5.5 extreme duty lift with drop brackets for my Clayton longarms.
i kept the springs and added a 2 inch and a 1 inch coil spacer in the front and installed new 5.5 inch leafs with 2 inch shackle and 1 inch taper blocks in the back.
but now i'm changing the springs out to 8 inch coils and gonna add a leaf to my R.E. leafs and try my teraflex revolvers.
go for the claytons mang.
