I'm fairly certain i have a Chrysler 8.25 rear axle on my 91 XJ. Are there any things i should worry about or should look out for with this axle? I'm running 30 inch tires currently and plan on doing a budget 3 inch spacer lift soon.

Umm it's a darn good axle and even in 27 spline variety (what you have) it's still worlds ahead of the Dana 35.

 

Its pretty strong for 33s and down. Its also cheap and easy to replace when you do break it.

I run 32 inch swampers welded and I'm not easy on it.
