Chrome Offroad bumper??
I have an 89 xj laredo. I love the Laredo chrome accents, the interior is full and of coarse the exterior has chrome bumpers, side views, grill, windshield moldings, etc. I am looking to eventually put on some off roading bumpers but they all come in jet black. Are there any options out there to keep the chrome accents of the bumper? I would hate to lose that cool looking chrome to plain old black. Ideas???

Not to be an ***, and I respect your wanting to keep the all chrome look, But I have a bumper sticker for my XJ that reads:
"Chrome won't get you home,
Black will get you back"
Of course, my XJ is black, black trim and black wheels.
If I had more chrome, I would certainly feel differently.

If you want more chrome on it then IMOP I would look in your local area to see who does chrome work. Heads up though because it's not always cheap and if done wrong it's a disaster. Personally think that the bumper would look pretty neat if done in chrome and black... hmmm..... might be something to look into with mine.

Yea I could look around the area. Then I might be best off finding a used one in the area, because the condition of the finish wouldn't matter. I could then sand it all smooth and send it off to the chromer. Good idea.

Great point 420......I don't see chrome on the trail...and that is for a reason... black is touchable uppable real easy if you get to smashin or scrapin stuff...... besides....I'd be pissed if somebodys chrome blinded me in the sun and I trashed my junk...... just m2 cents
