Not sure if I have an Aisin AX15 transmission in this XJ or not. It appears that I may. 91’ XJ. 4.0, 4x4, 5 speed manual.
And speaking of manual...s. The reason for the post. The manual calls for “Mopar brake and hydraulic clutch fluid, or equivalent meeting FVMSS 116 and DOT 4” in the hydraulic clutch reservoir.
Autozone told me that power steering fluid was supposed to be used.
Somehow I think that advice was equal to bovine feces.
Please advise.

Yours is an AX15:

Use what the manual says. I've always used DOT 3 or better brake fluid.
