I never left! Just been ultra busy for a little while now!

 

i checked all the grounds under the hood, cleaned all connections, volt metered the OBD port hookups, cleared the no bus code with my scanner...locksmith came back and it threw the no bus again. I watched him do it and he tried to program a grand cherokee key...i explained this was a regular cherokee but he said it didnt matter; but for my amusement entered it as a cherokee AND IT MAGICALLY WORKED.

Doubt there was ever a problem besides a potentially half-assed locksmith...thanks for the info though everyone

silver lining edit: charged me $20 for 2 keys and $35 to program them, i think he knew he messed up...
