the leafs are 2.5 inches wide, like the dodge dakota and chevy s10, but they might be to long or to short for a derect bolt on.

wont removing leafs make it way bouncy? i thought you replace a couple of them with your old leafs will make it softer?

trial and error here as the xj weighs like 1/3 the weight of a one ton

so the width of the leaf springs along with the length of them from eye will determin whether or not they can fit? it rides really soft as it is.. so a little stiffer would be welcome..

eye to eye measurement i would get off the frames where the spring mounts and center to end would help to make sure the rear axles not going to get moved very far from where its located in the rear fender well now

2.5" is the width you need but the length can always be shortened and you dont just bolt them in you have to cut the eyes off the chevy leaf springs and bolt them underneath your main leaf (main leaf never comes off the car(the one that has eyes on it leave it bolted on)) and take the blocks out if there are any they add more stress on the leaf springs. look at this topic and follow the directions.

EDIT: listen to freegdr he knows more then me
