Default Cherokee XJ 2.5 to 4.0 Liter Engine Swap Help

I found a "Complete" 4.0 Liter, Inline 6 Engine that came out of a 94 Cherokee for a good price, and I wanted to put it into my 93 Cherokee. My Jeep has a 2.5 Liter, 4 Cyl. engine in it now. I was wondering if all I had to do was put the engine in, or do I have to change a lot of things. If so, what would I have to change. Any info would be helpful. Thanks.

eh. May be more work than you want to deal with. You would probably need to swap out the entire harness as well.
If i could suggest something. Sell that and get a 4.0 xj.

There is no way I would ever sell the XJ I have now.

Default How do you tell?

How can you tell if you have a 2.5 or 4.0 on your 93 Cherokee if you're new to cars?
