tow my 3800# boat with my 90 sport, just have to put it in 4low to pull my boat off the ramp. braking can be a bit spongy just keep it under 60.

I'd get a decent trans cooler, and give the trans all new fluid! For the 100 buck its cost, its well worth it! I'd rather spend 100-200 now vs having my jeep stuck with a blown trans and 1k in cost later.
And if your buying the trailer now, then you'll probably tow it again! So its a good investment!

I'd also look into the ZJ rear disk swap. It can be done for around 100, or 300-400 if you get everything new! Its well worth it as well and will increase you stopping power greatly!

I'd keep it around 60-65 and watch in front of you so you can intisipate any sudden stops or anything! Also drop it into 3rd gear on hills instead of keeping it in Drive. That'll help not cook your trans!!

And if you feel the rear end is to soft after you tow it..look into adjustable shocks! Like Rancho 9000's..you can stiffen them up for towing and soften them back up for daily driving by the turn of a ****...it takes seconds!!
