Cherokee Starting problems (with video)
I have heard a few diff ideas about whats wrong with my jeep: spark plugs, NSS, crank position sensor, fuel pump. I posted up a video to see if anyone had any other ideas before I attempt to tackle all of these. It won't make any sounds when I try to start it in park, but neutral it will try but never turn over. It seems to be cold weather affected bc it only started when the temps finally started to drop here in GA. It's a 2000 with the 4.0. I just shot this vid on my iphone so not the best quality, let me know what you think! Thanks!

I would say mabey a combination of the NSS and CPS. Possibly both are bad. It also sounds like the timing is off too. I would make sure your ignition rotor isnt loose which would cause it to slip time............have you done anything to try and fix the issue? Need more info if you have it.
Ok lets start easy....pull the plugs and change them and the plug boots and springs.
Also put a battery charger on it to get the battery all the way up.

Hi
I am fairly new to the Jeep brand but I would say start with sorting why the engine will not turnover in Park as it should do this should logically lead you to any other faults.
I had a problem with my Auto box on another car which was traced to the inhibitor switch breaking down due to moisture build up.
What does NSS stand for CPS = Crank Postion Sensor Yes?
