My wife and just sold our kia vini van due to the fact that it was dam near impossible to work ANY thing on it,and part's were extremely expensive.My wife chose the mini van,so now it's my decision on what we purchase.Of course it must be some thing visually appealing to her,But make model ect is up to me.
I decided on another cherokee,as I know them pretty much inside and out after wheeling one for going on 4 year,s.And there reliable,easy to wrench on and pretty much guaranteed 200.000 thousand miles out of the 4.0.
I want a 96 to 99 grand or regular xj(she want's grand,I want reg)4.0 auto with around 100.000 thousand.

What tip's does any body have
what would be a good deal and what would be average.
I have done the research,but it never hurt's to get advise from your fellow jeep owner's.Thank's for any help

As you know the Cherokee's have a stout drivetrain. Obviously look for the most well maintained even it means giving up some mileage. I would trade mileage for a better maintained vehicle, an owner who keeps records of the work that has been done to a vehicle is an owner who maintained it usually.

The biggest concern for me was the unibody design and rust. Check the floors, check the rockers, check around the hatch, check the roof, hell look under the carpet if you can.
