cherokee running like 3 grand on the high way

Default cherokee running like 3 grand on the high way

whats up guys my 91 cherokee runs at like 3000 rpm on the interstate fast as it will go is like 65 or 70 is this right

If it's an automatic, then it's not going into fourth gear. Check the tension on the kickdown cable on the throttle body.

^^^^ also you may need to adjust the shift linkage. Definitely start with the t.v. cable though as stated above. That would cause that.to adjust it push the button on top to retract the housing then open throttle all the way and release the button.

Mine runs at 2300 to 2500 at around 65 definitely try adjusting the kick down cable press the button down with the truck off open the throttle all the way then let go of the button and take it for a drive

it really didnt make a difference i pushed it all the way up pulled it all the way down put it in the middle it make a difference could there be a prob with it underneath on the tranny

Adjustment is listed in haynes chilton and fsm. I'm on my phone so its too much to type.

yeah thats not right, i run 1900 rpms at 65 with 32's, overdrive needs to kick in
