cherokee radio wires

cherokee radio wires
hi guy i am new to cherokees and forums so be kind
i have just bought a 94 4lt auto some one had tried to fit a after market radio but had made a hash of it millions of joints ,tape strip connectors you name it so i cut every thing back to the cherokee wire loom i have reconnected every thing up properly and all is good apart from the power antenna not working i here a relay clicking somewhere when you power up the radio is there a fuse after the relay the antenna worked before i started lol

check the fuse box under the dash on the drivers side or in the hood on the passenger side then if the fuse is i would check the motor for the power antenae and make sure that you hooked up the wiring for the power antenae properly

welcome aboard from socal and there may be a fuse or you may have an issue with the antenna it self they are pretty cheap and easy to break i would go to a non power unit

I feel your pain. Mine came with the stock wiring all hacked up and some cheap *** aftermarked amp/EQ hanging above the gas pedal. It took hours to remove the non working amp and get the wiring sorted out. Seriously some of the speakers had their neg wires attached to ground instead of the neg wire out the back of the radio. I tore all that crap out and threw in a free Jensen CD player my neighbor found in the trunk of a used car he bought. sounds 100X better!

thanks for all your help guys but i was being silly i had been messing about for a while on off on off and so on the battery was a bit flat and did not have the power to turn the moter but the radio would light up he he went to move it and would not start charged up no probs now
