Hi, my 2004 Cherokee 2.8 Crd automatic wont start.Turn the ignition and no power to the starter, lights and hooter etc got power. Returned to vehicle couple hours later battery dead, put in new battery still same problem, returned later and battery completely dead. checked all fuses and all ok. Took out starter motor and put power directly to it and it does engage but the gear turns really slowly. Any advice please

 

Since you say it's a 04. I assume that it is a GC and not a Cherokee? They are completely different animals. Try posting in the GC section this is for the XJ's

 

Dead draw killing battery .Is car in park try neutral.
