Default Cherokee Lower Balljoint Castle Nut Size.

What size is that thing?

I just got everything apart to do my upper balljoint and realized I dont have a socket to fit that and the wife already left for work.

I'm pretty sure the stock size nut is 1-1/8". The same as your D30 & D44 pinion nuts. If they aren't stock joints then all bets are off.

Used vicegrips. Worked great.

LOL i guess that would work but when you put it back together get you a socket or wrench I don't know if you could get it tight enough with vice grips lol.

I clamped it with grips then smacked them with a BFH and reinserted the cotter pin. Im not sure how much torque is listed on it but it didnt take much to get it off.

Its safe.
