I'm new to the Jeep world.

I've been looking for parts for my new 96 Cherokee Country and I found some things that are designed for the Grand Cherokee like tires, gearing, tow hitch, etc.

Will these fit on my Country? Or are the Cherokee and Grand two totally separate beasts?

Your Jeep is a standard Cherokee, model designation is XJ. The grand Cherokee is mostly a whole new design and model is a ZJ.

Some engine stuff and front suspension stuff will transfer over.. but thats about it.

wheels will fit as their the same bolt pattern,seats,suspension(front springs will give you alittle lift) and some 4.0i6 motor parts that about it. Grand cherokee zj hitches will not work on your cherokee xj

a ZJ V8 tie rod, drag link, sway bar, and pitman arm are a good steering upgrade.

ive got a 85 xj 4x4 2.5 5spd and a donor 00 grand cherokee 2x4 4.0 I6 auto what parts are swappable and whats not, any help would be appreciated, my xj being sitting for a 6months im thinking of selling it but dont know if i should..

Does anybody know if the Coil Springs from a ZJ rear end are swapable, maybe with a little mod? I think they'll hold their lift longer than Leafs...I'd like to hear anybody else's .02 cents on this?
