Cherokee Conspiracy! No Heat for Owners...
Based on the number of "no heat" threads lately I can only conclude there is a Cherokee conspiracy to freeze all owners...
My problem child is a 1995 Country with A/C, the blower motor quit completely after squealing for awhile and took out the control panel switch with it. I am replacing the resistor just because everything else went.
I got my replacement blower motor and switch today, still waiting on the resistor to arrive. The switch was fine and installed with no problems. However, the blower motor had an issue. The drain hole on the original was on the left side of the blower motor housing and the drain hose disappears into the firewall under the motor (picture 1). The new motor has a drain hole on the opposite side (picture 2). I take it this is for moisture/condensation and I can run the drainage hose anywhere I like? I was thinking of plugging the hole to the existing location and getting a longer length of hose to drain out underneath the frame rail. Anyone know of any problems with this plan?
