Default Check engine same reading

Sup guys so i have a 99 cherokee sport 4.0 with 4.56 gears and a 6.5 inch lift on 33's well this is my problem every once in a while my check engine light comes on and i take it in and it read the same code i belive its po740 with is internal transmission failure.... Now my question is why they jeep runs and shifts great 4wd works great so have any of u encountered the same prob.... Help me out

p0740 Jeep A/T Torque Converter Clutch - No RPM Drop At Lockup
Your lockup solenoid is fried...

The reason why it seems like nothing is wrong...when you drive your Jeep it will shift into 2,3, 4 like usual. When you're in 4th and you ease off the gas pedal this TCC should then engage and it should feel like it shifted again. This code means that is not happening.

Thanks guys is this bad ...... What should i do my tranny just got rebuilt in july and has 1 yr. Warranty should i take it back to them it had been in 3 times and the guy would tell me that the reason it was doing it was because it needed 4.56 gears so now o got them and same thing ... Should i take it in or is it ok to run like that i know it's a stupid question

Go to a JY and get a set of solenoids replace the bads ones. Also while you are in there pull and clean the valve body.

Is it real hard to replace the solenoids..... have any of u done it can I see pics and steps to complete the change..... thanks
