The Code is P0456

tried replacing the gascap.

has anyone had a similar problem?

I can occasionally smell gas.

 

I had a check engine with that code. Replaced the gas cap from auto zone but still no luck. Ended up being the 90 degree rubber boot that comes out the intake manifold on my 2001 xj. Check all your rubber fittings. Took me a whole month to find the leak
