Check Engine Light after Radiator Replaced
Hi guys!
I have a 2000 Grand Cherokee Jeep Laredo with 126,000 miles. Two weeks ago, my Jeep overheated and the radiator exploded while I was parked at a restaurant! It was so much white smoke, people thought that the car had blown up! I had it towed to my home and had mechanic look at it.
So I got the radiator replaced (and hose), fan relay switch, and sensor a couple of days ago. It's not overheating, but now the check engine light is on! arg! What could possibly be the problem now? The mechanic mentioned that he would have to replace something with the temperature gauge readings, but it should adjust with time-I just don't want to replace another radiator and parts!

I just had the same check engine light, replaced the coolant temperature sensor and the jeep ran great after, but, the check engine light didn't clear until the next day
