What would eh the cheapest place to have my motor rebuilt?

Or to get a new motor?

It has a thrown rod and the whole inside is shot.

I live in the Pensacola area of Florida.

Looking for the cheapest way to get a good running engine preferably with less than 150,000 miles on it or have it rebuilt...

Thanks guys!!

Oh and this for a jeep I picked up as a project for 1k the other day...

If it did in fact throw a rod, the engine is junk. A boneyard replacement is the cheapest route. But you should still replace the water pump, core plugs, and rear main seal before dropping the replacement in. Also replace all of the cooling system hoses.

The pick n pull near where I live offers a 12 month warranty on their parts, not sure how expensive it is on an engine, but it might be something to ask about... I've always thought that might be my first try if my engine ever goes.

My local pull a part only charges around $32-33 for the warranty on an engine. I can get an engine with warranty for around $200.
Junkyard is definitely where I'd go for it.

never been a fan of getting junkyard engines unless you can hear it run with an oil pressure gauge hooked up. when i put my engine in i bought a wrecked 97 5spd jeep for 500 dollars with 155 on it. this engine runs better than mine did when i bought it....

i changed the water pump, valve cover gasket, and plugs.
