my subs are beautiful, if i do say so myself, but theyre so good they sound like **** because the license plates vibrate. i would like to know a cheap way to stop the vibrations i.e carpet between LP and car?

 

just put small rubber grommets on each side of ur plate where the bolt goes thru. Done

 

you answerd your question yourself... but carpet will rot... use rubber or double sided sticky tape.... drill hole in middle run a screw threw....

 

when i used to install systems i would use self adhesive foam weather striping put it around the edge of the plate then make an x in the middle of the plate

 

x2 on all above i put those little rubber circles with the back taping on the plate so when it does hit the vehicle it doesn't vib any more and i do it on all cars with just 2 bolts bc it even bugs me just to hear it rattle when you slam a trunk ya know.

 

Put a some caulking on the back of the license plate and press it to the tailgate.
