charging system?????

charging system?????
1991 4.0 High Output
so i started my jeep went to the store came out
wouldn't start got a jump took it home, next day wouldn't start got a jump but nothing starter was pulling to much power so went down and got a new starter. next day with a full charge it turned over drove it that day got it home and tryed turning it over and nothing got a optima red top and it started right up, drove it coming home started smelling "rotten eggs" got home pop the hood and battery is toast...so i take the alt out have it tested and its fine great...i think its the voltage regulator but dont know any ideas????
and i cant find the regulator i need

The regulator is internally controlled via the pcm, i've been told you can bypass this and go with a stand alone regulator, but am not 100% on process.

The altenator has the regulator built in.
Just replace the altenator or take it to a stater/altenator shop and have it fixed.

i pulled the alt. and took it down it was good....it has an external regulator and i cant find the one i need anywhere
i looked and it and all the wires run to a plug on the fire wall
a green wire a green red wire a yellow wire and it looks like a ground...
i dont know if i need to replace the whole thing or just CUT AND SPLICE IT
ANY IDEAS
