Changing out door/hatch locks and ignition cylinder
Hey guys and gals, I have an 89 sports cherokee and wanted to fix/narrow down my keys for this rig (I have 3!!!)... Will the later year cherokee lock cylinder and ignition cylinder fit on my 89 Jeep? I have the circle key for doors and box key for ignition. Would love to utilize one key for all of them like the "newer" cherokee that has teeth on both side and a black "handle". Will the cylinders be swappable on my rig if I buy a new set?

I was searching this morning. It doesn't look like they will. I opted to get a key made for the body locks. So I have 2 keys and that's okay with me.

Ha thanks guys. Having a set come in from a local 4x4 shop. Both side doors and rear hatch locks with keys, keeping the ignition intact as the earlier cherokee uses the circle keys for exterior and square key for ignition. Got the ignition issue resolved so no need to tear into it
