Default Changing diffs over for street use

so on my parts jeep it came with a d30 4.10 gears with aussie locker and one piece long side axle shaft conversion and d44 4.10 with mini spool. My question is can these be used on road. Im thinking those set ups are full locked and wont work on the pavement, or am i wrong? if i am correct what will i have to change to convert to being used in on road? Would adding warn manual kit fix the front, and changing to a air activated rear locker be the best fix? also would 11" 4link look to goofy for 34" tires?

You could drive it on the street as is but it would not be good putting more stress on axle shafts squealing tires and excess tire wear. Yes manual lock outs will fix the front and yes a air or electric locker will fix the back.

it's an aussie...it allows for some slip up front.

spool, no biggy. w/e. run it, you won't have much of a problem.

Would I be smarter to just convert the front shafts back? Do they offer enough benefits to out weigh the costs

lockers have nothing to do with axle shafts, other than that the shafts plug into it.

if you took the locker out and put spiders back in, IF it's not a full carrier, then you'd be A ok.

I ran a welded dana 30 front for months with no real driveability issues...

Yes, people do run the Aussie locker in the front, some say they have issues with them some say they do just fine. I would just run it and see how you like it, because that is what counts. If you do not like it, it will be easy to put the spider gears back in. The rear is drivable as a dd with the spool, although if you do a lot of driving, ( like 16-24 thousand a year ) it will be a pita, and wear tires like crazy and make it almost impossible on snow and ice covered roads. As for an eleven inch lift, I go more for low and capable than for the tall and useless.

Yes but not a spool on the road anyone who says its fine is an idiot, about as smart as a welded diff. This stuff is fine if you stay on dirt roads. Try it you'll get sick of it quick.Buy a bunch of tires first and stay home in the winter

Well this thing well get the most use I'n the winter so it needs to handle well on snow and ice. I don't have original spider gears cuz I bought it like that, but I still want a locker for when I do go off road. So it's starting to look like manual hubs and a air locker is tge way to go.

So my buddy who said the single shaft conversion would be a problem is just a idiot lol. I think what he thought is that the who diff was one single shaft snd didn't realize those jeeps have 2 part shaft on the pass side.

You can buy new spider gears, that way you don't need to go with manual hubs. The ARB is a nice locker, but there are other selectable and auto lockers that would work as good and be less expensive.

Would having having a seletable I'n the front be ok for winter driving? I'd really like the have a locker for I'n the summer. My dad figures either way I should put manual hubs I'n just for wear and tear reasons

There is no way in heck I would run an aussie and a spool for a winter daily driver.
To be honest, I would not want that setup for any type of daily driving.
