I have a 2000 jeep cherokee, it has been throwing a tps code it goes away and comes back well last night on my way home i was doing 65 and all the sudden the trans dropped out of od and would not shift back into od at the same time the check engine light came back on... so i changed the tps and now it has a high idol when i start it for about 30 seconds then goes away.. are the two problems related to each other and if so then what can i do to get the idol back to normal

 

maybe the Idle Air Control valve is sticking,might be worth taking it off and cleaning it up..

 

Im taking it off today and giving it a good cleaning thanks.
