Changed Pinion Seal but Still Leaking
Yesterday I changed my pinion seal as I saw oil coming from there. I took it out cleaned it up and added more oil, today I crawl under to take a look and I still see oil seeping out.
Is there anything else in there that would cause me to have continue to have a leak?
Thanks,
Jon

The only place where I could see a hose going to the differential is here:
Obviously there is no hose plugging that hole, but there is a cut hose leading no where underneath:
Am I even in the right direction on this lol?

So I just need to replace the hose, so no crap gets in there and hopefully I will get my seal to actually work?

Can you move the pinion flange (up,down, L,R)? If so the pinion bearings are trashed. What did you torque the pinion lock nut to? There should be a hose and not a hole btw.

I used a tad bit of oil around the edge of the seal. Maybe I didn't put enough on?
I torqued it to a little bit over 200.

I didn't check the flange when it was all apart. I can move the Driveshaft a little bit though. no forwards backwards but up down left and right.

the does the pinion move when you move the DS? the DS has a bit of play due to the slip in it

I think so, I can see the seal around it moving when I move the DS, I can't actually see it but it looks like it is moving.
I am going to take a wild guess that the pinion bearings have gone bad.
