Changed fuses now new issues
I changed that fuse. It was the one that I posted the picture of with the spiderweb stuff and wires around it.

I had weird issues with flashers too. Advance auto parts (not sure what all states they are in) sold me a relatively cheap one ( 5.50) that could replace mine and last longer. Works great, cant say to the lifetime. It's the big round silver one (possibly two, one for signals, one for hazards) in the corners of the fuse box. I can send pics of my fuse box if necessary.
Also, even though most have already said this:
Please ignore the a* holes that tell you that you can't fix your car yourself. This is an elitist and consumer mindset that will be the end of freedom as we know it if people continue to follow it. Enjoy and be proud of the fact that you are willing to learn and ask questions about the world around you. This is what creates great people, not arrogance and pride.

I'm not sure if i can help yet, but i will offer my opinion. That fuse that had the wires wrapped around it... it's not uncommon that when someone jams wire into the socket for the fuse, it spreads the contacts apart. Then when a new fuse with no wires wrapped around it is inserted into the socket the fuse doesn't touch the contacts and the circuit doesn't work.
The correct way to fix a problem like this is to squeeze the contacts back together. This might require some special tools, like a pick set, or some creative engineering using a paperclip or something like that. Another way thats not quite as reliable is to re-wrap the fuse with some wire, being careful to not let the wrapped wire touch both terminals of the fuse

Good Call! That would make a lot of sense.

I.e. flasher or **** poor connections in the fuse block. From the condition of the fuse posted earlier I can see water damage in the block.
