4 Wheel Drive not dis engaging.
So I just bought a 88 Cherokee Limited and everything runs great. Except the fact that it will not come out of 4 wheel drive. It shifts fine into full time 4 wheel drive neutral and four low but will not come out of part time into 2 high. Anyone know where to start on this? This is my first jeep and I am not all that familar with 4wd. Everything on this jeep is stock.
Thanks in advance.

I have a 87 xj and i was having the same problem, The way i shift back to 2wd is by letting the jeep slow down and keep a slow craw then shift to 2wd. I hope this helps.

sell it to me for $1... ?
Just kidding.. Welcome to the site.
I am of the mindset that a failure is an opportunity for an upgrade. Chances are you have a vacuum issue.. so loose the vacuum and invest the $ in an OX system. That will give you the option to be in 4Lo, but keep the front differential unlocked giving you better handling when in very loose conditions
Can someone x2 what I am saying or correct me if Im wrong... I am not that familiar with OX but I am pretty sure it will do what I am saying.. wont it?
