Beginning to think it is a bad valve spring, or seat problem. The new o2 sensor didnt do a thing. It runs horribly first thing in the morning, and after a few minutes on the highway (70 mph ) its ok...still a little burp here and there, but not bad. This jeep has 264,000 miles on it. Its only worth like $600, so if its something internal, its done for.

Sounds like you have a valve seat issue. This is very common issue for the trusty 4.0 on the exhaust side. The seats tend to warp. I recommend a cylinder leak down test, you should notice your leakage around 30-50%, Anything more than 20% is bad. This issue can be resolved with a simple reseating of the valves by a machine should, but in more extreme cases it may need machining of the seat or simply replacing the head with a reman. remans are $500 from napa btw

well, thats the point isnt it? An OBD reader wont connect to the computer, says "error". So i have no choice but to change out all the parts that could cause a misfire. The CPS causes all the problems i am having ( stumble upon acceleration, poor fuel economy, rough idle, misfire, CEl illumination.) There isnt a specific code for the CPS, so hoping its it.
If its now, i have no choice but to scrap it. Like i said before, with over 263,000 miles, its worth $500. Why waste that same amount for a valve job or anything else internal?
Lastly, i have called all kinds of auto repair shops to see how much they will charge just to look at it and tell me specifically whats wrong with it...$90. So, a $7 part seems feasible at this point as its the only thing left to change.

fINALLY GOT HER FIXED. When i bought the CPS, i decided to alos start from the beginning and check everything. Took plug wires off, they were fine. Took cap off, it was fine except for #4 terminal, had some corrosion on it. Cleaned it, good to go. Took rotor off and noticed the end was slightly corroded and looked worn ( only a few momnth old ) so i bought a new one. All vaccuum lines were good. Spark plugs were all good except #4 and #2. #2 was bright white from being too hot and #4 had a cracked insulator. I suspect that was the main problem. Replaced these plut it all together and drove her around for a few miles. No more CEL, and no more sputtering or weird idling. Will find out for sure tomorrow, but just saved myself $72 on the CPS. Thanks to everyones help!!
