Engine: Straight 6; 4.0L
2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport reading a check engine light,
Changed the Ignition Rail and the Spark Plugs, erased the check
Engine light and turned back on within 9 miles.
Was talking to a kid at advanced auto who kinda seemed like
He knew what he was talking about but at the same time he was
Hating on the Heep. Anywho he said that he thinks its one of
My Fuel Injectors thats causing this. Since exhaust and emmissions
Wise everything is almost new besides the Fuel injectors. What do you
Guys think about this? Ive been trying to tackle this issue for a little over
A year now. Ill eventually get to a mehanic once I have the $$$ but for now
I would love to hear what you think.
Is this a common issue for the 4.0? Or is it one of those oddball
Situations?

The best method to rule out the injector when you have a single cylinder misfire is to switch injectors and see if the misfire code follows the injector. Simple and easy.
