Me and my brother were talking about cat converters exhaust packages backpressure etc today and an interesting subject was brought up. What if you cut your converter in half and remove the innerds? Would it restrict flow in any way? Could you use it with say a borla exhaust system? Has anyone done this? Any help is appreciated, thanks

I gutted the cat on my truck when it went bad, it seemed to help the top end hp but lost it down low which is where most jeepers need it. If your state does vehicle inspections its not a good idea no matter what.
