Met a person tonight that has a 4 door sport. The thing is in very good shape. It has a 8.25” in the rear, the t-case is (I think) a 242 with full time 4W, 2H, 4L, N. The frame has little to no rust. On the front of the thing (I could kick myself for not taking a photo) is a (what looked like) a cast iron horn maybe? It has “Cherokee” imprinted on it. The girl thinks that the original owner was a police dept.
What is the cast iron thing? I have read tons of stuff, watched over 100 hours of videos, but haven’t seen anything like that.

Here is a pic. This is a giant cast iron widget mounted on the front underside of the XJ. The owner just states that the equipment
was there when she purchased the thing from a police officer from Louisiana.
