yeah it's the battery. when you turn the key do you hear a clicking sound? try moving your terminals around to get a better bite.. or charge it. you should only jump it in case of emergency

All of the symptoms you desribed are caused by a dead battery. The fact that you got it to start and run from a jump and then it was dead again as soon as you shut it off, tells me that your alternator is not charging the battery for some reason. So, check the serpantine belt out. Inspect your battery cables end to end for dirt, corrosion breakes and crack. Then, take your battery and alternator to your local Autozone. they will test them for free.
I disagree with everyone.
If it died when it was running, that's the alternator...
If the serp belt was broken he would have over heated within a minute...
although the battery is probably fried now as well.
If you can, get it started some how, the put a voltmeter between the battery posts (remember, as it's running), it should read at least 14 volts... If it reads lower, something is up with your alternator, or how that juice gets to the battery.

.Sometimes the tests the run on alternators don't actually show that they are bad, if everything besides the alternator looks good, then it's bad...
