I have a 94 cherokee the engine is from a 99 grand Cherokee but has a distributor. I got a cap and motor from autozone and true motor has. The small hole and a part on the back. My distributor has a large roti in it with a slot for the timing alignment. Autozone doesn't carry this motor neither does a local store. Anyone else have this distributor and where can I get the correct motor from

Ok I think I might understand. The rotor(motor) that they sold you does not fit on the distributor shaft(roti). What is the distributor off of? Did you give them the correct year? Did you use the word Roti in the part store?

Lol sorry my computer is broken so I use my phone. The motor is pictured on the left. I'm going to message the old owner. It's a 4.0 from a 99 grand Cherokee. My jeep is a 94 so I assume its a 94 rotor since they did not upgrade the ignition. Problem is 99 apparently present use a distributor and the rotor I was sokd for a 94 is to small to fit the post.
