92 XJ with 4.5" lift and transfer case lowering kit. Bought her already with the kit installed. ? is..... shouldnt i have 8 combination of nuts and bolts holding the crossmember in place ? I just have four nuts on the studs holding it. when i back up or go forward slowly i feel some movement/play and slight clunking when braking. Thanks in advance

The crossmember is only held on by 4 total bolts. 2 on each side (and from the factory, technically there are 2-bolts and 2-nuts as there is a threaded stud on both sides). I'd check your u-joints first when trying to identify the cluck you are talking about.

The trans mount on the cross member is probly shot. That's the four nuts in the middle. Tighten them up for now. Motor mounts could be going as well...

Another cheap checklist is this.
