Default Can someone tell me whats going on here??

So I'm driving down the highway and I turn my lights on and I notice that the lights on my gauges were dimmer than normal, and eventually my check gauges light is on then my alternator gauge went all the way down to the bottom of the gauge, but my jeep starts back up fine and my alternator gauge is now between 12 and 14 not at 14 like it always has been, if anyone can help I'd appreicate it.

Check your battery connections, and make sure they are not corroded. It sounds like your Alternator might be starting to take a crap on you.

The connection is fine, and that's what I'm thinking, I just want another opinion.

I had this happen. What ended up happening to me was my alternator just dies 1 morning. But just to make sure its not your alternator. Check ALL your cables from the alternator to the battery. Then all the battery cables. Also. Fuses and what not are a good thing to check.

Sounds like the alternator is dying. Pull it and have it checked.

If you or a buddy have a Volt meter, when the head lights are running dim, pop the hood and check to voltage to the battery just to make sure your stock volt gauge is not lying to you......

Thanks all I believe I know the problem is the alternator, good thing I got a cousin that works at advance auto and can get me 30% off lol, this app is so much easier than looking random stuff up on the Internet.
