Here you can't get full coverage insurance on a salvage title and the resale value sucks. It looks like his was mostly a street jeep. If it was a beater I'd be inclined to agree with you but not on a nice jeep

Or....... Some of the above posters have been around enough wrecked vehicles to know that not all of them can be saved by parking them in your garage and bringing a Frankenstein back to life. There is a cost/benefit analysis that you have to do in these situations. The fact is that the OP has been paid the market value for his wreck. And it is a wreck complete with a severely damaged passive restraint system. And that ain't cheap to fix. I'd have to say that making a statement that the damage is cosmetic is rather clueless.

Aljay: A '55 Chevy is a totally different (body on frame) beast than a unibody XJ.
